• Macro economy: As per the advance estimates released by the Central Statistics Office, the growth rate of GDP at constant market prices for the year 2016-17 is placed at 7.1 per cent, as against 7.6 per cent in 2015-16.
• This estimate is based mainly on information for the first seven to eight months of the financial year.
• For 2017-18, it is expected that the growth would return to normal as the new currency notes in required quantities come back into circulation and as follow-up actions to demonetisation are taken.
• On balance, there is a likelihood that Indian economy may recover back to 6.75 per cent to 7.5 per cent in 2017-18.
• Fiscal: Indirect taxes grew by 26.9 per cent during April-November 2016.
• The strong growth in revenue expenditure during April-November 2016 was boosted mainly by a 23.2 per cent increase in salaries due to the implementation of the Seventh Pay Commission and a 39.5 per cent increase in the grants for creation of capital assets.

The Estimates committee in the Parliament recommended the setting up of a Service Selection Commission in its 47th report (1967-68) for conducting examinations to recruit lower categories of posts. On 26th September 1977, Subordinate Services Commission was renamed as Staff Selection Commission. Then the new constitution and functions of Staff Selection Commission came into effect from 1st June 1999. About Indian Railways :
The first railway on Indian sub-continent ran over a stretch of 21 miles from Bombay to Thane. The idea of a railway to connect Bombay with Thane, Kalyan and with the Thal and Bhore Ghats inclines first occurred to Mr. George Clark, the Chief Engineer of the Bombay Government, during a visit to Bhandup in 1843.
The history of rail transport in India began in the mid-nineteenth century. The core of the pressure for building Railways In India came from London. In 1848, there was not a single kilometer of railway line in India. The country's first railway, built by the Great Indian Peninsula Railway (GIPR), opened in 1853, between Bombay and Thane.
The East Indian Railway Company was established 1 June 1845 in London by a deed of settlement with a capital of £4,000,000, largely raised in London.[7] The Great Southern India Railway Co. was founded in Britain in 1853 and registered in 1859. Construction of track in Madras Presidency began in 1859 and the 80-mile link from Trichinopoly to Negapatam was opened in 1861. The Carnatic Railway founded in 1864, opened a Madras-Arakkonam-Kancheepuram line in 1865. The Great Southern India Railway Company was subsequently merged with the Carnatic Railway Company in 1874 to form the South Indian Railway Company.
The formal inauguration ceremony was performed on 16th April 1853, when 14 railway carriages carrying about 400 guests left Bori Bunder at 3.30 pm "amidst the loud applause of a vast multitude and to the salute of 21 guns." The first passenger train steamed out of Howrah station destined for Hooghly, a distance of 24 miles, on 15th August, 1854. Thus the first section of the East Indian Railway was opened to public traffic, inaugurating the beginning of railway transport on the Eastern side of the subcontinent.

Pushyagupta, a Vaishya, was appointed governor of Saurashtra by the Mauryan regime. He ruled Giringer (modern day Junagadh) (322 BC to 294 BC) and built a dam on the Sudarshan lake. Emperor Ashoka, the grandson of Chandragupta Maurya, not only ordered engraving of his edicts on the rock at Junagadh, but asked Governor Tusherpha to cut canals from the lake where an earlier Mauryan governor had built a dam. Between the decline of Mauryan power and Saurashtra coming under the sway of the Samprati Mauryas of Ujjain, there was a Indo-Greek incursion into Gujarat led by Demetrius. In the first half of the 1st century AD there is the story of a merchant of King Gondaphares landing in Gujarat with Apostle Thomas. The incident of the cup-bearer killed by a lion might indicate that the port city described is in Gujarat.
For nearly 300 years from the start of the 1st century AD, Saka rulers played a prominent part in Gujarat's history. The weather-beaten rock at Junagadh gives a glimpse of the ruler Rudradaman I (100 AD) of the Saka satraps known as Western Satraps, or Kshatraps. Mahakshatrap Rudradaman I founded the Kardamaka dynasty which ruled from Anupa on the banks of the Narmada up to the Aparanta region which bordered Punjab. In Gujarat several battles were fought between the south Indian Satavahana dynasty and the Western Satraps. The greatest ruler of the Satavahana Dynasty was Gautamiputra Satakarni who defeated the Western Satraps and conquered some parts of Gujarat in the 2nd century CE.

बड़ी खबरः आधार कार्ड को लेकर सरकार ने लिए 2 अहम बड़े फैसले
मोदी सरकार कालेधन पर रोक लगाने के लिए कुछ भी करने को तैयार है। इसी वजह से नोटबंदी की घोषणा की और उसके बाद से लगातार नए नियम बनाती जा रही है। अब सरकार आधार कार्ड को अनिवार्य करने की कोशिश कर रही है।
बताया जा रहा है कि केंद्र सरकार अगले वित्त वर्ष से आधार कार्ड को इनकम टैक्स रिटर्न फाइल करने के लिए अनिवार्य करने जा रही है। इसके लिए 1 फरवरी को पेश होने वाले बजट में घोषणा हो सकती है। सरकार इसके लिए इनकम टैक्स एक्ट में भी संशोधन करने जा रही है।
ये 2 अहम फैसले
- -सोमवार को ही सिम कार्ड लेने के लिए भी आधार कार्ड को अनिवार्य कर दिया गया है, ताकि फर्जी पते पर मोबाइल कनेक्शन लेने वालों पर रोकथाम लगे।
- -इलेक्ट्रोनिक तरीके से रिटर्न फाइल करने के लिए भी सरकार आधार नंबर जरूरी करने जा रही है।
बिजनेस स्टैण्डर्ड के अनुसार, सरकार ने इस बारे में फैसला पिछले साल मई में ले लिया था। पीएमओ ने तब सेंट्र्ल बोर्ड ऑफ डायरेक्ट टैक्स (सीबीडीटी) को कहा था कि सभी व्यक्ति और संस्थानों के आधार नंबर को आईटीआर में जरूर लिया जाए। अगर इसके लिए इनकम टैक्स एक्ट में संशोधन करना पड़े, तो वो भी किया जाना चाहिए।
गौरतलब है कि मोदी सरकार ने देश में 8 नवंबर को नोटबंदी की घोषणा की थी। सरकार की इस घोषणा के बाद लोगों के पास पैसों की कमी हो गई थी। सरकार ने ये घोषणा कालेधन पर रोक लगाने तथा बाजार में चल रहे नकली नोटों पर लगाम लगाने के लिए की थी। लोगों को हो रही परेशानी को देखते हुए सरकार लगातार नए नियम ला रही है।

Saying ‘Nice to meet you’ is a positive impression on the other person whom you met and even marks the beginning of a long partnership or friendship.
If you are meeting a person for the first time for work or business or in a FORMAL way:
- You can use the phrase ‘Pleased to meet you’ at the beginning of the meeting.
- ‘It’s a pleasure to meet you’ is another phrase which means that you are looking forward in a positive manner. You can use it in the beginning while addressing the concerned person.

मुकेश अंबानी की स्वामित्व वाली रिलायंस Jio को जबरदस्त टक्कर देते हुए आइडिया ने एक ऑफर की घोषणा की है। टेलीकॉम कंपनी आइडिया 22 रुपए में प्रति घंटे के लिए 4G/3G डेटा दे रहा है। कुछ दिन पहले ही वोडोफोन अपना सुपर ऑवर प्लान लेकर आया था, जिसमें प्रति घंटे के हिसाब से फ्री कॉलिंग और डेटा उपलब्ध कराया गया था। अब आइडिया भी कुछ इसी तरह का ऑफर लेकर आया है। हालांकि इस बात के बारे में अभी तक कंपनी की तरफ से कोई आधिकारिक घोषणा नहीं हुई है।
क्या हे प्लान और डीटेल
Telecomtalk की रिपोर्ट को मानें तो आइडिया द्वारा अपने कस्टमर्स को 22 रुपए प्रति घंटे के डाटा पैक को लेकर मैसेज भेजा जा रहा है। इस ऑफर के तहत यूजर्स को अनलिमिटेड 3G/4G डेटा दिया जाएगा जो कि वोडोफोन के ऑफर के समान ही है। हाल ही में एक ट्विटर यूजर ने स्क्रीनशॉर्ट पोस्ट किया था जिसमें आइडिया के एक घंटे के पैक की कीमत लगभग 14 रुपए बताई गई थी और कहा गया था कि यह पैक 19 जनवरी से शुरू हो रहा है। हालांकि, उस पर दिया USSD कोड अभी काम नहीं कर रहा है।

माना जा रहा है कि देश की सबसे बड़ी टेलीकॉम कंपनी एयरटेल भी आइडिया और वोडाफोन की राह पर चलते हुए किसी जबरदस्त ऑफर की घोषणा कर सकती है। रिलायंस जियो को टक्कर देने के लिए देश की तीनों बड़ी टेलीकॉम कंपनियां कमर कस चुकी है। जियो के आने के बाद से सभी कंपनियों ने अपने टैरिफ प्लांस के कीमतों में बहुत ज्यादा कटौती है।
